BAAN G
The Impractical Co-Founder

BAAN G is a New Delhi-based interdisciplinary artist with over two decades of experience in music, sound design, composition, and production. He has studied Bass Guitar under legendary bass players Gary Willis and Karl Peters and is currently studying experimental music with Michael Harrison. He has contributed to critically acclaimed projects in film, documentaries, live shows, and interactive media, and has performed and recorded worldwide with renowned artists and musicians. BAAN G is also the founder of Dastaan LIVE, a political art rock live performance project. He also teaches a course on Sound Design and Creative Music Exploration at Ashoka University and is the Managing Trustee of Aagaaz Theatre Trust, an arts-based non-profit in New Delhi.

ANANT RAINA
The Not-so-Practical Co-Founder

Anant is a filmmaker based in Delhi. He has worked in various roles on a variety of fiction, non-fiction and experimental projects. His work has led him to trekking the Everest Base Camp, shark diving in South Africa and even spending a month walking Sri Lanka with Buddhist monks. He also plays a number of rhythm instruments and is currently the percussionist for ‘Kabira Khada Bazaar Mein – a Rock Opera.’ His love for martial art films and video games has also led him to practice Capoeira and Pekiti Tirsia Kali.

KIRTI SHARMA
Cultural Catalyst

After working at a tier-one law firm for nearly two years, Kirti followed her passion for arts and culture and transitioned to a new career path. She played a pivotal role at the Mahindra Sanatkada Lucknow Festival 2023, leading the festival’s National Media and Press efforts. Currently, as a founding team member along with Baan and Anant, as well as Projects LEAD at W.I.P Labs, Kirti is committed to curating and producing meaningful work while fostering a collaborative and engaging cultural space.

PADMANABHAN
A Life Experiment

After graduating as an Industrial Engineer, Padmanabhan took his passion by the reins as it took a radical turn towards sound and music technology. Currently based in Delhi, he is often found trying to save his laptop from crashing while he fumbles with algorithms to create “music”. He manages the task of curating computational arts programmes at W.I.P Labs, working to bring more weird and alternative experiments to life.

The Practical ONE

Akila Jayaraman is the Head of Sales Strategy at JioAds, bringing over 17 years of cross-functional leadership experience in consulting, software, media, and advertising. Previously, she held key positions at GroupM and Cheil, managing integrated digital and offline media campaigns for leading global brands. With expertise in digital marketing and app promotion, Akila is a trusted partner for senior business leaders, recognized for her contributions through industry authorship, speaking engagements, and award jury participation. She is passionate about new business development and holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Pune.

SHAMBHAVI SINGH
The Practical TWO

Shambhavi Singh, an accomplished arts manager with an 18-year career spanning various roles in marketing, operations, coaching, and a profound passion for activating cultural spaces. With a bachelor’s degree in theatre and sociology, she has returned to her performing arts roots after running an independent theatre venue – ODDBird, that unfortunately closed due to the pandemic. Now a sought-after consultant, Shambhavi specializes in designing arts-focused community spaces and employs her expertise in marketing and operations to develop coherent strategies for audience cultivation. She harbors a deep curiosity about human engagement and strives to multiply safer spaces for gathering, where artistic experiences ignite discussions, exchanges, and connections among diverse ideas and people.
