SUMMARY:WIP Specials | Rihla (Student Show)
DESCRIPTION:A play by Aagaaz Repertory / Directed by Neel Chaudhuri\nTranslated by Rahul Rai / based on ‘I Want A Country’ by Andreas Flourakis \nA crisis in a nameless country brings about a demand for change. A motley group of young people seek to chart out a course for a ‘new country’\, a new identity\, fresh values\, a space to feel safe within … They argue and fight\, they ridicule and educate each other\, they reveal their dreams\, fears and secrets. Their quest to define a new world is a voyage into some great unknown: to a place they can only imagine and covering a distance they cannot fully conceive. It is also a leap of faith\, for them and for us. At the very least\, they will arrive to tell the tale.

SUMMARY:SPECIALS | The Night Is Clear | Record Listening Session with Parekh & Singh
DESCRIPTION:Parekh & Singh are a duo from Calcutta. Nischay Parekh sings\, and plays guitar and keyboards; Jivraj Singh plays drums\, percussion and electronics. Both enjoy computation of various kinds. \nTheir third full length album is entitled “The Night is Clear“. The duo had this to say about the new work: “This album is a mirror to our souls. The songs are personal\, sometimes painfully specific.” \nThe new album is set in an otherworldly realm populated by meditative kings\, reticent bedouins\, and nightingales. These shadowy entities tell of how art provides an undeniable balm on whatever worldly wounds we carry. \n\nParekh & Singh\, and Delhi-based musician Tarun Balani\, will co-host a listening session and open conversation focusing on “The Night is Clear”\, the music that may have informed the album\, and the possibilities that spiral out from it.\n\n\nRegister
