DESCRIPTION:At WIP SHARING\, our goal is to provide a platform for performances that may be untapped\, unheard and even unfinished. It’s a space that celebrates the art of creating\, without any boundaries or definitions. \n\nKabira Khada Bazaar Mein – a Rock Opera’ re-interprets the music of the iconic play ‘Kabira Khada Bazaar Mein’\, written by the renowned author Bhisham Sahni and directed by M.K. Raina\, retaining its core aesthetics and updating the arrangement and instrumentation for modern sensibilities\, working with some of the best musicians and theatre practitioners in Delhi. \nAfter a series of successful performances\, ‘Kabira Khada Bazaar Mein  –  a Rock Opera’ is back in a new avatar. In keeping with their practice of constant experimentation and evolution\, Dastaan Live have been busy crafting a new sonic experience. DESCRIPTION:‘Songs & Stories’ is an immersive musical journey with a handpan artist and a bass player\, as they weave together storytelling and their music in a completely instrumental performance set-up. Each composition tells a unique story\, inviting the audience to also explore and create their own narrative. Ashim and Abhishek also invite and engage with their audience at different intervals of the performance\, by getting them to draw or write\, or just doodle on a piece of paper\, as they try and create a fully interactive and engaging experience that leaves a lasting impression on all who attend.\nAbout the artists:Ashim Bery is an independent artist and percussionist\, based in New Delhi. With over 20 years of experience in Hindustani Classical music\, he has been performing the steel tongue drum and handpan since 2015. Besides his musical pursuits\, Ashim is an avid gardener with a passion for gardening and a love for plants. Additionally\, he conducts immersive forest walks and forest bathing excursions in Delhi. \nAbhishek is a bass player and photographer with a passion for storytelling. Through his practice in both fields\, he explores and hopes to document culture\, social movements\, nature\, and his home city. He is currently working towards finding ways to bridge his two passions. \n\nRegister

DESCRIPTION:Padmanabhan aka beatnyk is a Sound Designer/Electronic Musician based in Delhi and a part of the Algorave community in India. He works on the intersection of sound and technology. The performance is more a Work-In-Progress in itself. Approached with an idea to look at improvisation with code\, the event invites listeners curious to look at performances and music beyond its conventions.
